“When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her.” Luke 1:41-45.
The special grace and presence of Mother Mary once long time ago, made a baby, leap out of joy in a Mother’s womb. Elizabeth, her cousin and little John was the jumper. Everything happened like written as God promised. This warm moment has lot of significance in present time. Babies being born, such a beautiful thing to be witnessed, for the whole family. And, it is for sure the Holy Family must be joyful too on this special occasion. I could just picture the scene, when nurse ran out of the labor room shouting out to the parents and family, “Yippee, The baby is born”, it is a baby boy or it is a baby girl. The heaven shouting out of Joy and especially when little unnamed babies in Heaven sung, who faced denial since God created everything , and not to be born. And in heaven, there is no jealousy and only Love. There is only deeds out of Love. Out of Love the unnamed one’s are showering there prayers the moment when a baby started growing in Mother’s womb.
I want to name the option where one choose to let their little one’s get tortured and die in the Womb as “Denial“. And I want to name the one’s who faced denial as “Unnamed” throughout the story. There are many babies being denied life and this disease of denying life is keep on growing when Gods own Children support this act of cruelty in different ways. Our present society is struggling with this disease. I want to take this time to remember a courageous and holy Man, a Father who stood against what is not right, sacrificed his life for his beloved Son named Jesus Christ. A real Man who loved and respected others, a caring Father and a chaste Husband.
Elizabeth says; ” My dear children, I was six week pregnant when Mother Mary came to visit me and it was impossible for me to get to bear a child in this old age. But me and my husband Zechariah were longing for a child. Even though it was impossible, but our unfailing faith in God made him to do a miracle. And I was more happy and felt so much joy when i realized that my cousin Mary is the woman chosen for bearing a child by the holy spirit, mother to our savior who will save each one of us from our sins. And I was more happy when she visited me. And in my first week of sixth month, I always felt the movement of the baby in my stomach and was making some sounds. It happened everyday in the evening when I worshiped God with Zechariah. And when Mother of my Lord visited me, the moment she greeted me, the baby in my womb leap out of joy, when I realized that I always thought about my cousin Mary during my prayer and the baby in the womb felt her presence. So, I wanted to tell you that no Mother wanted herself to deny her Child in her womb. But, Its influence from others, Organizations, society and the people who miss the presence of Jesus Christ in their life. So, my dear one’s, I want you all to pray to our Mother of Lord for the Women and the little one’s in womb. Let them experience the presence of Mother and the Lord.”
Here I remember a good friend of mine named Bhama, who dedicated this piece of art with full of love.
“Blessed are you who believed that the Lord’s word would come true.” Luke 1:45
I always try to give myself a reminder that, the moment Jesus hanging on to the cross and given his beloved Mother to all of us, she became all ours. But, in that moment something special also happened. Jesus became a vital part of our family, a big brother to me, you and each one of us. That is the love of Jesus Christ. Pure unending and unselfish love. I always question to myself. What was the intention of Christ Jesus, when he said to John, ” Here is your Mother”, and to Mother Mary, ” Here is your Son”. What was it all about! Are we fulfilling Christ’s intention to hold on to Mother Mary, being with her, in her company, admiring her like her Husband St. Joseph did all his days. When we can love Mother Mary, we can love her Son Jesus too, then her Husband Joseph too. And I felt that, none of them feel sad or avoided when we love or pray (speak) to one of them rather they feel happy. But, I love all three of them the same way, because I have already adopted by this Holy Family. And you too. Amen.
