2 Corinthians 1:11 “You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.”
Like the plants receives nutrients from soil and how they distribute it to the leaves. The part that needed more nutrients, made them available for those parts. I believe this kind of Mechanism is in all our lives. Our prayers are distributed to our brothers and sisters according to how urgent the needs are. But for our heavenly Father, even the smallest of our prayers are very much precious. I give my prayers to all who take a moment to look at the words.
Amme(Mother in Malayalam language- Kerala)… I call my Mother like this and used to tell her, ” Can you pray for me, I have an exam. Can you pray for because tomorrow my friend have an exam. Can you please pray because my another friend has an exam next week at 10 a.m. And but what about me. Am I responsible for praying for myself! Why should I pray because my parents prays for me right. Yes this was the me years ago before I came to Germany and this gives me so much strength on my ways. The prayers for us from our parents.
One year before coming to Germany, in the year of 2016, I started realizing the importance of sincere prayer in our daily life. How much importance has the sentence which goes like, ” The prayer Jesus Christ taught the apostles, us Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, forgive us all trespassers as we forgive those who trespasses against us. And lead us not to temptation and deliver us from all evil. And also Jesus Christ show all of us how he prayed in the Gethsemane garden. He knew what was going to happen in the next hours. He still prayed from his heart, he just speak to his God like he speaks with his parents. I realized one big thing, that I shouldn’t just only pray for achieving things in my life rather prayer as a conversation with our heavenly Father, to thank him and to open your heart for him.
My dear one’s, I always tells my Mother that all your prayers have no effect on me but much greater effects on my friends and others whom I asked you to pray for. Again there it is a great realization happens that none of our prayers are not left unanswered. To realize and understand this, we all must open our heart and look around and not just looking at ourselves and our needs. A few years ago, I always looked for the graces and blessings just looking on my life. But through my good friends here in Germany, I slowly started realizing the fact that my prayers even the repetition of the name “Jesus” never left unheard. And, I needed a special person, who is Sr.Jose Maria, a Vincentian order sister from Kerala. God uses her to make me realize the fact he listens me.
During the beginning of the year 2021, I was in contact with some of the sisters from this order. One of my cousin sister Sr.Maria Wilson, was a nun there. Sr.Jose Maria is 72 years old and one day she was diagnosed with Cancer. This was the time I was doing the St.Joseph consecration. And I had the opportunity to speak about St.Joseph and the struggles I had with them. Astonishingly, they started this 33 days novene to St.Joseph with me and I took the pictures of the pages and shared with them. I kept everyone in my prayers and Sister Jose Maria too. She was very fond of this Novene and I believed that all of this happens for a good reason. Sr. Jose Maria was under treatment and last week I got a call from Sr. Beena who was the by stander in the hospital during her days in the hospital. She said, the latest diagnosis report was negative. She got a healing. It was our prayers, all our prayers, my prayers, your prayers. How could I say now, that my prayers are not even answered!
I believe and feel it with my heart, that the prayers that I made reached heaven and always answered. So yours too. And have faith that your needs and wishes are answered most of the time through the prayers of others and in turn theirs by your prayers. Amen.
